LP6 Style Guide: Page Settings

Each page in LP6 can be customized using various page settings:

• setDegreeType($a)

  This php function sets the degree type by passing the supplied value (the degree type acronym) to a switch statement like so: setDegreeType("ba");. Choose from degree type acronymns: aa, aas, as, ba, bas, bba, bs, ma, mba, me, ms, mpa, mph, mpp, uc, gc, ad.

• $GLOBALS["myTitle"]

  The program or page name. This appears in the page <title> along with the university name.

• $GLOBALS["academicArea"]

  The academic area or school. Optional values include: art, bus, edu, hs, sgs, stem

• $GLOBALS["description"]

  The program or page description. A unique page description under 160 characters. You may use %shortName% or %longName% for university name. Leave blank for generic page description. This appears in the meta description.

• $GLOBALS["myKeywords"]

  The program or page keywords. Enter optional extra keywords separated by a comma ",". These appear in the meta keywords.

• $GLOBALS["finderTitle"]

  The degree finder heading. Enter an optional override title for the finder to replace the default value. Don't declare or comment out to keep the default.

• $GLOBALS["finderCustom"]

  The degree finder intro/directions. Enter an optional override intro for the finder. Don't declare or comment out to keep the default.

• $GLOBALS["finderKey"]

  The degree finder filter. Enter an optional filter to trigger on load. Values should be chained class like .bachelor.bus or like [data-keyword*=\"KEYWORD\"].

• $GLOBALS["templateCat"]

  Set this variable to "2" in order to allow custom templates. The default template (currently LP5) will be ignored.

• $GLOBALS["myTemplate"]

  Set this variable to "lp6" to activate the LP6 templating system.

• $GLOBALS["cssMin"]

  Set this variable to FALSE when you want to debug/unminify the CSS. (Don't do this for production)

• $GLOBALS["accredited"]

  Set this variable to TRUE when you want include an accreditation badge in the At-a-Glance content

• $GLOBALS["myScripts"]

  Determines what script-common file loads.

• $GLOBALS["accreditedTitle"]

  Optional override for accredited heading

• $GLOBALS["affordTitle"]

  Optional override for affordability heading

• $GLOBALS["tuitAssistTitle"]

  Optional override for tuition assistance heading

• $GLOBALS["nextStepsTitle"]

  Optional override for next steps heading

• $GLOBALS["attributesTitle"]

  Optional override for attributes heading

• $GLOBALS["optimize"]

  Optional optimize anti-flicker timing in ms

• insertKeywords();

  This function applies the $GLOBALS["myKeywords"] above to the meta keywords and generates all other meta keywords.

• incTemplateSection("header");

  This function includes the LP6 base template header.

• Page Content

  Add page-specific content here inside a <section> tag.

• incTemplateSection("lp5CopyCat");

  This function includes the LP6 copycat template content.

• incTemplateSection("footer");

  This function includes the LP6 base template footer.
