LP6 Style Guide: CCL Functions page Template = lp6-docs

Overview

You can pronounce CCL as Cecil which stands for Core Content Loader. CCL was developed by George Fox to eliminate the need to create empty content pages in our brand directories. Now those URIs are automatically generated if corresponding core content is located based on path & filename.

These functions expect a basic URI structure of /folder-name/page-name. If no page name is provided, the functions attempt to redirect to a /folder-name/overview page. If no page is found, a custom 404 page is served.

Indices

Each branded subdomain requires a single index.php page that works in conjunction with the CCL functions. This page exists in the subdomain folder and requires the following information:

  • $rootPath

    Relative path to public_html root.

  • $coreContentDir

    Path to core directory.

  • _functions.php

    Require global functions file once.

  • $commonContent

Path for assets; overrides legacy path on functions.

  • $GLOBALS["brand"]

Get brand from server file path and sets global var.

  • $thisPage

Use PHP_SELF to return the name and path of the current file (from the root folder).

  • $myTitle

Default page title set to default site name.

  • 404 Page

    $cclIncPath

If $cclIncPath finds matching content in core, that content is served. If no matching content exists, a custom 404 page is served.
