A Design System

As our official design system, LP6 Style Guide serves designers and developers building digital products and experiences. The goals of the system include improving UI consistency and quality, making the design and development process more efficient and focused, establishing a shared vocabulary between designer and developer, and providing clear, discoverable guidance around design and development best practices. The LP6 design system enables you to build rich experiences and custom layouts with repeatable patterns and established best practices.

Foundations

Maintaining consistent and engaging interfaces demands extended guidance around color, typography, and layout. Browse all concepts that comprise the foundation of our design system.

Components

Components are one of the key building blocks of a design system. Each component has been designed and coded to solve a specific UI problem, such as presenting a list of options, playing videos, enabling submission of a form, and so on. Browse all components and get UX, accessibility, and implementation guidance.

Code Repository

Git

Git is our distributed version-control system for tracking changes in source code during development. It is designed for coordinating work among programmers, but it can be used to track changes in any set of files. Its goals include speed, data integrity, and support for distributed, non-linear workflows. We also use Git to track all content changes and allow for data recovery.

GitHub

GitHub is an American company that provides hosting for software development version control using Git. It is a subsidiary of Microsoft, which acquired the company in 2018. We use GitHub to host our private Landing Pages Git Repository. Some benefits include:

  • Secure development
  • Code review
  • Hosting
  • Project management
  • Team management
