- BSN Standard Degree—for those pursuing their first Bachelor’s degree;can be completed in as few as 33 months.5
- BSN Second Degree—for those with a Bachelor’s degree in another field now looking to complete their BSN; can be completed in as few as 18 months.5
- RN to BSN—for currently licensed RNs with Associate’s degrees; can be completed in 12–18 months.5

RN to BSN Degree
Are you a licensed nurse? Currently licensed RNs can prepare for a leadership role through our CCNE-accredited online RN to BSN program.7 Earn your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, and move ahead in your nursing education.

- Earn for an estimated $14,610 with the Get Started Grant and completing six self-directed assessments8

Master of Science in Nursing
Our CCNE-accredited program can help set you apart even further.11 Designed specifically for working registered nurses with a BSN, our program combines online coursework with practicum experiences. In as few as 18 months, or in as few as 27 months for the Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializations, you’ll be ready to take your next step as a nursing leader and into advanced practice.12

Rasmussen University Online Kickstart Grant
Students who enroll through Rasmussen University Online and Graduate Studies in any program except those noted below, who start their program on April 7, 2025 may be eligible for the following toward their degree at Rasmussen University:
- A grant worth up to $400 will be disbursed in the students’ first quarter of their program.
- Students will be billed at the standard tuition rate plus applicable fees before the grant is applied. Students are responsible for all applicable book fees.
- Eligibility will be verified by the Admissions/Financial Aid Office before the grant is awarded.
- In order to be eligible for the Grant, the applicant must enroll by April 3, 2025 for the April 7, 2025 start date.

Rasmussen University Online Programs not eligible for the Rasmussen Online Kickstart Grant:
- Business: Master of Business Administration, Master of Human Resources Management
- Design: Graphic Design Bachelor’s
- Education: Early Childhood Certificate, Early Childhood Diploma, Early Childhood Associate’s
- Health Sciences: Master of Healthcare Administration, Master of Public Health
- Human Services: Human Services Associate’s, Human Services Bachelor’s
- Nursing: Nursing Post-Graduate Certificates in Nursing Education, Healthcare Technology, Simulation, and Informatics or Nursing Leadership and Administration
Additional Terms and Conditions:
- The Rasmusen Online Kickstart Grant was first available to new students on August 7, 2024.
- Students must maintain continuous enrollment to remain eligible. A student who withdraws and re-enrolls may no longer be eligible for the grant. Students who previously received the Rasmussen Online Kickstart Grant are not eligible for the Rasmussen Online Kickstart Grant a second time.
- The Rasmusen Online Kickstart Grant was first available to new students on August 7, 2024.
- Students must maintain continuous enrollment to remain eligible. A student who withdraws and re-enrolls may no longer be eligible for the grant. Students who previously received the Rasmussen Online Kickstart Grant are not eligible for the Rasmussen Online Kickstart Grant a second time.
- Students who change their campus or program of enrollment may not be eligible for the grant.
- All entrance and acceptance requirements for the University must be met.
- Grants are non-transferable, and no substitution or cash equivalent/refund is allowed.
- Grant value cannot exceed tuition cost.
- Programs with tuition rates at or lower than $258 per credit for full time rates and $334 per credit for part time rates are not eligible for any grants or scholarships offered by the University with the following exceptions:
- Students enrolling in the Master of Science in Nursing degree programs on or after January 2, 2023, may be eligible for institutional grants regardless of program or course tuition rate provided they meet all other applicable terms and conditions for the grants.
- The Rasmussen Online Kickstart Grant may be combined with other grants and scholarships offered by Rasmussen University, with the exception of the Professional Achievement Grant.
- Employees of APEI and APEI Educational Units, including Rasmussen College, LLC and their family members are not eligible to participate.
- The grant is awarded in the first quarter for eligible new students and is non-renewable.
- A grant worth up to $400 will be disbursed in the students’ first quarter of their program.

Rasmussen University Laptop Program
Prospective students who enroll through Rasmussen University in any of the following programs, who start their program on or after August 7, 2024 may be eligible to receive a laptop from Rasmussen University.
Eligible Campus Programs:
- Healthcare Certificate
- Medical Assisting Diploma
- Medical Laboratory Technician Associate’s
- Physical Therapist Assistant Associate’s
- Radiologic Technology Associate’s
- Surgical Technologist Associate’s
- Practical Nursing Diploma (LPN)
- Professional Nursing Associate’s (ADN/RN), and
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Standard or Second-Degree entrance options).
In order to qualify for the laptop, a student will need to opt in by the deadline listed below, receive acceptance to the University, sign and submit the Rasmussen laptop agreement and follow the process as outlined in the emails received via their Rasmusen student email (SMAIL).
- Must enroll in one of the eligible programs by enrollment deadline for the applicable start.
- Opt-in document must be completed by the sixth business day of the applicable quarter.
- Once you have received your acceptance notification from Rasmusen University, you will receive the Rasmussen Laptop Agreement. You will need to sign and complete the form by the last day of the quarter in order to have the laptop shipped.
- Laptops will be shipped when the student has been accepted to the University, the Laptop Agreement has been signed and after the seventh business day of the quarter up until the last day of the quarter. If the student is not accepted to the University and does not have a signed Laptop Agreement submitted by the last day of the quarter, they will forfeit their eligibility to receive a laptop.
Additional Terms and Conditions:
- This offer was first available to students on May 8, 2024 with modifications to eligible programs on August 7, 2024.
- Service and maintenance of the laptop will not be provided by Rasmussen, Collegis or APEI IT.
- Only one laptop will be provided per student. If the laptop is damaged, lost or stolen, a replacement will not be provided.
- Students who have previously received a laptop through this promotion and are re-entering will not be eligible for this offer a second time.
- Students must complete a minimum of three quarters of enrollment or return the laptop to the campus where you enrolled. Students have two weeks from the date of withdrawal to return the laptop.
- Grants and offers are non-transferable, and no substitution or cash equivalent/refund is allowed. The cost of the laptop will be included in the financial aid packaging as other financial assistance.
- Programs with tuition rates at or lower than $258 per credit for full time rates and $334 per credit for part time rates are not eligible for any grants, offers or scholarships offered by the University with the following exceptions:
- Students who start the Healthcare Certificate, Medical Assisting Diploma, or Healthcare/Health Science Associate’s with a Medical Assisting Specialization programs on or after May 8, 2024, may be eligible for institutional grants or offers regardless of program or course tuition rate provided they meet all other applicable terms and conditions for the grants.
- Qualified students may combine this offer with other grants and scholarships offered by Rasmussen University, with the exception of the Professional Achievement Grant.
- Employees of APEI and APEI Educational Units, including Rasmussen College, LLC and their family members are not eligible to participate.

RN to BSN Get Started Grant
Students who begin the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (RN to BSN) competency-based program in 11-week terms, both new enrollments and transfers on or after November 10, 2021, and prior to April 7, 2025, may be eligible for the following toward their RN to BSN degree at Rasmussen University:
- A grant, worth up to $1,380 toward tuition of the first course in the program, awarded one time for each student.
- Students will be billed at the standard tuition rate plus applicable fees before the grant is applied. Student is responsible for all applicable book fees.
- Eligibility will be verified prior to the grant being awarded.
Additional terms and conditions:
- Students must maintain continuous enrollment to remain eligible. A student who withdraws and re-enrolls may no longer be eligible for the grant. Students who previously received the Get Started Grant are not eligible for the Get Started Grant a second time.
- All entrance and acceptance requirements for the RN to BSN program must be met.
- Grants are nontransferable, and no substitution or cash equivalent/refund is allowed.
- Grant may not be combined with other grants or scholarships offered by Rasmussen University with the following exception:
- RN to BSN Grant recipients who also qualify for the Corporate Grant may use both.
- Alumni of Rasmussen who are enrolling into the RN to BSN program can choose between the RN to BSN Get Started Grant or the Alumni Grant, but cannot use both.
- Employees of Rasmussen College, LLC and their family members are not eligible for the grants.
- Rasmussen University reserves the right to add, discontinue or amend scholarship and grant programs at its discretion. Any student currently receiving scholarship or grant funds at the time of the amendment will be notified.

Rasmussen University reserves the right to accept or deny credits according to policies outlined in the course catalog. Actual time to completion will be based upon transfer evaluation and eligibility.

Number of eligible courses varies by program and ranges from one to two courses. Time and cost savings are dependent on the eligible student enrolling and completing both the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Rasmussen University through the accelerated Master’s pathway.
