You’ve Earned It. Why Earn It Again?
We’re here to help community college students save the most time and money when transferring to Rasmussen University. You’ve already put in a lot of work toward your education and career—we want to help you capitalize on that so you can spend more time focusing on the material you need.
Generous Transfers
Our transfer policies were designed to help you transfer up to 67 percent of the credits required to complete your degree. Credits are accepted from accredited institutions, including many community colleges.Save Money
Why spend your hard-earned dollars on courses that cover material you've already learned? We can help you transfer the credit from previous institutions, and in some cases, award credit for material you’ve learned through prior work experience.
Save Time
We can put you on a fast path to graduation by testing for knowledge gained from other schools or jobs you've held, and by helping you create a customized degree plan.
Knowledge Credit®
You bring valuable knowledge and experience to your education, and you should get credit for every step you’ve taken so far. You can save time and money with Knowledge Credit® in three ways:
- Transfer in college-level credit quickly and easily. Transfer credit reviews take one business-day (on average)
- Take $149 self-directed assessments to show that you don’t need to take a specific course
- Gain credit for military training or professional certifications that align with your program
67% of our program requirements may be completed through Knowledge Credit®
Self-Directed Assessments
These $149 online assessments are a way to show that you have already achieved the skills and knowledge for a particular course and don’t need to take it. Self-directed assessments are available in 56 of our programs, and your admissions representative can tell you how many assessments are available for the program you are interested in. We also offer prep materials, and you can work with a peer tutor to help you brush up—at no added cost.
