Many of our Health Sciences programs are designed to help you earn the skills and credentials you need right away, then easily transfer your credits toward a higher degree level at Rasmussen. Want to start with a Certificate or Diploma? You'll be set to easily move up to an Associate’s degree. If you start with an Associate’s degree, you still earn the Certificate or Diploma along the way to bolster your resume. Keep climbing the credential ladder until you've reached your goal—from Associate’s to Bachelor’s to Master’s degree.
School of Health Sciences Programs
Our School of Health Sciences offers a range of education programs in both direct and indirect patient care roles:
Learn how to perform routine diagnostic procedures, draw blood (phlebotomy) and administer immunizations and first aid through a hands-on externship and relevant curriculum.
Degrees offered: Diploma.
Become well-versed in critical skills through hands-on curriculum in courses such as Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Banking and Microbiology.

Learn to read medication orders, fill prescriptions and perform inventory functions within the pharmacy setting. Also gain all the skills necessary to efficiently support pharmacists in a retail setting.

Sharpen your understanding of how limited mobility can affect a patient’s life while learning how to play a critical role in helping people regain their independence.
Degrees offered: Associate’s degree.
Gain a comprehensive knowledge of standard x-ray, mobile x-ray and fluoroscopic technologies along with patient care techniques through online coursework, on-campus labs and clinical site experiences. You’ll learn key skills for accurate anatomical imaging, operation of radiographic equipment, adherence to safety standards, and patient care and positioning.

Through fully equipped, industry-standard surgical suite laboratories, you’ll learn common procedures and technology used in the operating room as well as tactics for handling high-pressure situations.
