You will not regret it."
Chasady C., Medical Assisting Graduate
A licensed practical nurse (LPN) provides hands-on nursing care, working under the direction of healthcare workers such as registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and physicians. Practical Nursing courses instruct in areas including monitoring patients’ health, administering basic care, reporting patients’ concerns and updating health records.
Though this is not a fully online Practical Nursing program (or LPN program), it does include some self-directed assessments and online coursework as a means to save time and money. The Practical Nursing courses are largely hands-on and campus-based where you’ll get career-focused training through onsite clinicals. Plus, in the greater Tampa metro area, you can choose between weekday or evening and weekend course options.
You need a high school diploma, but unlike many other nursing schools, there are no prerequisite courses in order to enroll. There are also no wait lists at many campuses for qualified applicants. You only need to apply once and you can begin your LPN classes when it’s convenient for you with our eight start dates a year.
If you’ve ever wondered, “Are there LPN schools near me?” You’re in luck! You can find a Practical Nursing (LPN) program at our following Florida campuses: Central Pasco in Odessa, Fort Myers, Ocala and Tampa/Brandon.
